Ocean srl has launched a new cutting-edge tugboat “TIGER” at UZMAR Shipyard, where it has been built in eight months. The launching ceremony took place on a very symbolic date and year: 30th October 2024. On the same day, 50 years ago, the Founder of Ocean, Capt. Cattaruzza has established his Company.
It is the 40th Tugboat of the OCEANTEAM’s fleet.
NB-166 “TIGER”, is a state-of-the-art RAstar 3200W Class 80 TBP Escort Tug designed for OCEAN S.R.L. Recognized for its unparalleled manoeuvrability and escort capabilities, the RAstar 3200W series represents the pinnacle of tugboat technology.
“TIGER” is equipped with cutting-edge systems for ship rescue, vessel escorting, firefighting, port operations, towing, pushing, and standby services, the TIGER is engineered to meet the highest industry standards. TIGER is being built to Robert Allan designs with azimuth stern drive (ASD) propulsion and fire-fighting systems.
